ABOUT JME

Jamie Mathys BEng(Hons), AssocIIMS and Marine Survey Associates Full Member.

Jamie is a consulting engineer with over 20 years mechanical design experience across a broad range of new build and refurbishment projects in both the marine and construction sectors. As a professional design team member he has been responsible for project delivery from inception through to completion, working closely with clients to ensure design proposals and subsequent installations meet their specific requirements.

Since relocating to Devon in 2005, Jamie has been actively involved with the marine industry. As a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster he worked for local sailing schools, has extensive experience of brokerage and new boat sales and being a volunteer helm on RNLI Dart Inshore Lifeboat he values highly the safety and seaworthiness of vessels putting to sea.

Jamie now runs JME Marine, an independent Dartmouth based consultancy specialising in Pre-Purchase, Insurance Inspection and Damage surveys. He also undertakes Code Compliance examinations of small commercial vessels on behalf of MECAL an MCA Certifying Authority.

Jamie is committed to his continuous professional development and regularly attends industry specific technical training events to enhance and maintain currency of knowledge.
