RNLI – 5 Year Renewal Exam of Training Vessel

I have visited the Lifeboat College many times over the years and received excellent training on each occasion as volunteer crew on the Dart Inshore Lifeboat.

Very pleased to be here in a different capacity today working on behalf of MECAL to undertake the 5 year renewal examination of training vessel ‘Ian and Anne Butler’.

Both the College and All-weather Lifeboat Centre are quieter than I have ever seen them, however essential work must continue during this pandemic and the RNLI have well sorted the necessary separation measures to enable safe working.

Hopefully normal service can be resumed very soon and I look forward to future training at this outstanding facility.
